Bidra med feedbackBest tempura ever! the cook is beautiful and the service is excellent.
Absolutely AMAZING food. Counter seat, ordered one of the sets for 4 people. $900 for 4 with 1 beer each. ABSOLUTELY worth it! First time we’ve ever had uni tempura and it was the best piece of the set. The meal was well paced and the chef suggested which type of salt to use with each piece. Spot on! The tempura egg yolk rice dish to end the meal just topped off the night. So much skill and restraint. On of the best 3 meals I’ve ever had. Ever. P.S. lived in Japan for more than 8 years. Traveled to more than 30 countries. Eaten at over 2 dozen Michelin star restaurants and I stand by this review. Just perfection!!!
Good Kaiseiki with nice plating! We booked Mizuki for Kegon menu (top menu for the Sakura spring season) not knowing this restaurant is more famous for tempura. However the Kaiseiki was great- fresh sashimi with hand drawn drizzle of the spring forest, delicate conger eel soup, various stewed appetizers, wagyu beef, shrimp fried rice and the dessert designed by presumably a French named Pierre Herme Paris! I guess that’s the bonus for having a top Kaiseiki restaurant in international hotel, they have the international touch. We changed a few sake, all excellent. Especially worth mention is the House sake especially produced for Ritz Kyoto. It has bubbly and clean finish. Overall a great dining experience. Didn’t award 5 Star just because it lacks an element of surprise and creativity. But will come back because food is great...
Great tempura place. Although most of the ingredients are fried, you don't really feel it as the batter is really thin. It almost feel like they have just been steamed in hot oil.
Ive been to few tempura michelin place around Japan, and booked this one since tempura Mizuki was newly awarded for one star. Interior and the vibe is impeccable for sure. Tempura omakase was good as well, but it was bit too oily from the 8th tempura.. little bit of disappointment
