Hafuu - Kyoto

Not sure what to say was not already said about the meat, but it is obviously great. This is my second time here, but for the first time for lunch. I have the Japanese bark sandwich and it could be the best sandwich you ever have. Was here earlier for dinner (about 10 months ago) and had a similarly excellent experience. Friendly and attentive staff and welcoming to tourists. Wait a bit because there are not much seats and this place is popular but worth waiting.

Was interested in the Wagyu beef sandwich because we saw it on a video on Facebook. It was in a very quiet residential area. The restaurant itself has 2 branches very close together, price and quality are the same for both, but one is more rustic and the other more modern. I think it will be better to make reservations, but we went in and made it

A must! One of the best meals we had in Japan! Amazing steaks and amazing wagyu cutlet sandwich! Skip the tasting menu and go for a la carte to maximize meat intake and reduce soups and rice (Japanese style meal). Definitely book and make this part of your trip in Kyoto!

We were able to make a reservation via Facebook Messenger that was clutch, as we have no phone service here. The staff was very friendly and courteous, we sat at the cooking bar, I guess you would call it with a front view of the kitchen that was great. My husband and I both ordered a set menu and everything we had was delicious from the first appetizer to the last cup of coffee! Most of the staff spoke English and they had an English menu. We would definitely recommend this place!!

We have been here 3 times over 4 years. We absolutely love this spot. The meat is such quality. Thank you Hafuu!
