Taverna Athitis - Κρήτης

This is how I imagine cretan moms have cooked for their children for decades — „honest food“ ️ We also got great service including advice on what to order (would have gotten way too much otherwise, the portions are very generous). Yummy and you can enjoy it with a nice view across the sea.

A great place for local food near Lake Kournas. We trusted the recommendations of barbequed chicken souvlaki, filled tomatoes and peppers (vegetarian), and greek salad. Portion size was very generous. Amazing view to the lake from the tables.
