Pete's Place - Krebs

If you’re in the mood for disappointment, this place has you covered. They may boast about being 4th generation Italians in Oklahoma, but the food tells a different story. the main course, the spaghetti was bland and lifeless, swimming in a dull marinara sauce that tasted like it came straight from a can. If this is what four generations of Italian cooking looks like, it might be time to pass the torch.

We live 80 miles from Krebs and had a doctor's appointment in Macalester. Made a point to eat lunch at Pete's. Probably been eight years since we have been there. Everything was as good as we remembered. Best lunch I have had in years and the prices were really reasonable for lunch meal. I'm sad we live so far away, but it's probably good that we do as I would want to eat there every day.

Great food every time . Nice Building with some private dinner rooms. We did have to wait 20 or so minutes before anyone came to check on us and we were thirsty for water coming in.

As you can tell by the reviews. Most people in Oklahoma have no idea what real or good Italian food is. You could give them a Mcdonalds cheese burger and tell them its the best because you paid a 1000 dollars for it and they would believe it. Expensive doesn't mean its good. The only reason famous people stop here is because they can get a room and be left alone and eat in peace. Not because its good. The food isn't even the main issue. When your the only two people in the restaurant and its been 45 mins and you ask what is goin on with your food and they get pissy about it. And then tell you oh I forgot to put your order in

Pete’s clearly has a great tradition going. I enjoy tasting the marinara of different Italian-American restaurants to see how each family’s recipe differs. Pete’s was very nice, with a meaty flavor and light sweetness. The Italian dinner family style was abbondanza! Nice to have a few antipasti before the main dish. Pleasant to eat in the small dining rooms, almost like in a home. Bravi!
