Bidra med feedbackThe herbal tajine was super delicious! They also offered an avocado burger with vegan cheese. There are always some nice vegan options to find here, and super friendly staff :
However, the food was only satisfied with two vegan dishes: a burger and a tajine. I especially appreciate the atmosphere that there is a beautiful quiet garden on the back, as well as many rooms inside. You also have a wide range of Irish drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful. Updated by previous review on 2022 05 10
The food was decent with only two vegan options available: a burger and a tajine. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, especially the lovely garden in the back and the various rooms inside. They offer a wide range of Irish drinks as well. The staff was friendly and attentive. Reviewed on May 10, 2022.
We originally planned to dine at the vegan restaurant bk6 nearby, but it was fully booked. Mary's Irish Pub offers two vegan options on their menu: the vegan burger and the tempeh salad (note that the curry may contain milk as it is listed as an allergen). The staff at Mary's were welcoming and provided fast service. We ordered the burger for $16 and the tempeh salad for $15. We asked about the fries and mayonnaise, and were told that the fries were sweet potato fries, baked in vegetable oil, and served with veganaise. The portions were large and the food was served promptly. The burger consisted of sweet patty discs with avocado and corn inside, topped with a disc of vegan cheese that didn't melt enough. Overall, the burger was dry and reminiscent of early-generation veggie patties found in college cafeterias. The sweet potato fries were tasty, although they were mixed with regular fries. The veganaise tasted like regular mayonnaise to me. The tempeh salad, however, was delicious and well-marinated. The restaurant has charming decor, high ceilings, and beautiful music. It is fully accessible with a restroom on the ground floor. In conclusion, the burger was disappointing (especially the veganaise), but the tempeh salad was excellent. Mary's Irish Pub is a lovely location with friendly service. (Updated review as of September 1, 2020)
We originally planned to dine at the vegan restaurant BK6 nearby, but it was fully booked. Luckily, Mary's Irish Pub offers two vegan options on their menu: the vegan burger and the tempeh salad. We found the service to be friendly and efficient. We ordered the Burger (€16) and Tempeh Salad (€15). The fries were confirmed to be sweet potatoes, cooked in vegetable oil, and suitable for vegans. The portions were generous. The Burger consisted of a vegetable patty with avocado and corn, topped with vegan cheese that didn't quite melt. It was a bit dry and reminiscent of old-school vegetable patties. The sweet potato fries were tasty, though they were mixed with regular fries. The tempeh salad was delicious, with a good marination. The atmosphere was charming, with high ceilings, decorative ornaments, and pleasant music. The restaurant is fully accessible, with a restroom on the ground floor. Overall, we enjoyed our experience despite not being impressed with the burger. We recommend double-checking the veganaise as it tasted like regular mayonnaise. The tempeh salad was a highlight. The location is nice and the staff was very welcoming.
