Hilltop - Koh Muk

I really don't like giving negative reviews, but we were a bit disappointed coming here after reading all the reviews. Don't get me wrong portion sizes are big for what you pay for, but everything was just so oily, like more oily than you'd typically expect for Thai food. The spring rolls where nice, filled and huge, but also far too oily to handle. My partner got the fried rice, and the rice was mushy and overly garlic and oily. Maybe we got a bad day? I imagine their non veg food could be pretty good as there was a table next to us who said they loved the food..but yea, sad experience. Hope whoever goes next gets better! Open the whole year and the whole day: for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Biggest portions on the island, cheap and so tasty. We love the curries, springrolls, fried rice, yellow noodles, the coconut dessert. And the place is so cute with a great location (a couple minutes before Charlie's beach). And lastly, the owners mother of 6 and her daughters are the sweetest. And their english is great!

We loved the food! The portions are big, but you can take food to go. The people who work there are so kind and funny. The restaurant is on top of a hill and looks cozy. Recommend!

This is the best restaurant on the island, and I might say in the whole Thailand! The food is absolutely delicious, we ate there several times and are always looking forward to come back the next day. The owners are so nice too. Lovely owner with good English skills selling the best fish on the island. Beautiful place built into the jungle but still right next to the main pathway. Hopefully the island stays that quiet so you don’t have heavy traffic and cars passing by at some point. Reggae bar is close. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ฿200–300
