Bidra med feedbackA rare and wonderful foundation in the Rhine region. authentic Italian cuisine with continental flair. great, light, extremely tasty eating! worth visiting.
The hotel brenner suggested this restaurant and we were not disappointed. the food was exceptionally fresh and tasty good choice of weeping to accompany meal times that we have eaten there twice and both are not disappointed
When our party of 4 went in the restaurant, all the tables had a reserved sign. we asked if we could eat and the waitress would like to say yes! this is an Italian restaurant and the owner/cook came to visit us and recommend a few...of-courts. the cod was excellent and the muddles were excellent. the prices were also very reasonable. I will definitely visit this place again!
My hotel (jan van werth) recommended this restaurant. I wanted a casual meal and had a great salate as I felt. not expensive good food. caters more to locals than visitors. I enjoyed the experience.
This local may have good food but they cannot manage reservations. Plus, the place is noisy and small. I made a reservation for two, several days before, for Saturday night at 19:00. I should have know that something was going to go wrong, when the...person that took my reservation confirmed the reservation but forgot to as me my name, until I reminded him. When we arrived we were immediately greeted, however, only two tables were free and both tables were reserved for other people. Plus, our names were not on the reservation list. Luckily after a wait of 5 minutes a table was free. If there had not been a table free, the Hexenkessel would have lost a customer, not just for this Saturday night, but forever. Since we had arrived early, we were seated at a table and ordering by 19:00. The food was good and the prices were fair. The food came in a timely manner, hot and tasty. The restaurant is very compact and without much room to move around. The space is so small that chairs from one table bump up against others tables. The restroom doors open out and hit the tables or chairs next to the restrooms. Most of the lamps hang over the tables but two lamps hang in the narrow walkway around the tables, such that customers must push the lamps to the side to get through. The décor is late 1800’s with wooden tables and chairs and a great old stove against the far wall, to make the atmosphere perfect. The menu is written on several black boards on the walls and in a small paper pamphlet (menu) that the waitress brought to us. The menu is easy to understand. Again as in my German locals, without a parking lot, one must find a park spot on the street, which is another negative.
