The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, and the quiz nights were fantastic.

We had an absolutely amazing 3-course meal and outstanding service while hosting our family murder mystery at this restaurant. I would highly recommend it for events and for accommodating gluten-free options. Thank you so much! We will definitely be returning!

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the staff are very friendly. This was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last!

We were very disappointed with our lunch today at the Talbot. We had looked at the menu on the website and were excited about the prospect of something special, especially the Fisherman’s or Hop picker’s sharing platter. However, what was actually on offer fell far below our expectations, with only relatively ordinary “pub grub” options available. Additionally, we were shocked by the price of £7.50 for a large glass of red wine. The atmosphere was also unpleasant due to a chill in the air caused by the log burner not burning properly. Sadly, we decided to give up and leave. After many great experiences at the Talbot in the past, it will take a lot to entice us back.
