New England Fishmongers - KITTERY

Very impressed by the fresh seafood they serve, as well as the sweet ambiente and the friendly, knowledgeable staff. I am one of the old mainers, which is very picky about lobster rolls, and new england fishmongers has it right: fresh lobster meat (before never frozen) lightly dressed with just a little celery leaf garnish. and the brioche is a good step up from the usual. yum! also had the best white fish salat we ever tasted! beautiful that we found this place!

Sitting on the patio in the sun is much looked forward to in the cold days of winter. When great seafood, perfectly cooked is added to that, it gets even more perfect. Fishmongers was a lovely surprise: the grilled shrimp tacos were fresh and tasty. The fried fish version of the tacos was also a winner. Fishmongers could be the #1 spot for seafood in Kittery; staff is friendly, attentive and the staff knows how to cook and not overcook fish

We made an unplanned stop here based on a stranger's recommendation (thanks Jay!! , and are very glad we did so. The sea scallop chowder was delicious, and loaded with big scallops that tasted so sweet. I would recommend getting the small size for one person, as it was very rich and filling. It was so good that we had to buy some frozen chowder to take home. We also had the house-smoked salmon and some raw sea scallops, and I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. A friend tried the haddock taco, and he highly recommends that as well. The quality of the fresh seafood and the prepared food alone makes it worth a visit, but what added New England Fishmongers to our must-return list was the amazing customer service. Captain Tim and his team were extremely friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They run their own fishing boat, and catch scallops as well! We ended up buying some steamers and scallops to bring home as well, and Captain Tim was kind enough to help us get everything packed up for the 5-hour drive.

5 Amazing fresh seafood with a great flair for flavors! We’ve eaten in and taken out. All of the food has been delicious! The scallops are amazing! They have a designated spot in our freezer at home? Tim, Kayla and their entire crew work tirelessly to meet the challenges of their customers. Thanks so much for the packing attention to my scallop order! We’ll be back.

I arrived in Kittery and I didn't know where to go. I was hungry and searched on Google maps for a late lunch and found this restaurant. Decided to go. Saw that they had fish and chips and it was amazing!! We'll come back here when I have a chance when I get back to Kittery. Also interesting that they sell fresh seafood here!
