Fran's Fish Chips - Kingston

The fish and chips at Fran's are absolutely delicious. The batter on the fish is a bit thicker than usual, but it's not too overwhelming. If you prefer a very thin batter, you might want to skip this one. The chips (or fries) are excellent—some of the best I've ever had—and the portion size is generous. The coleslaw, which is mayo-based, is fantastic, and the tartar sauce is quite good as well. A lemon wedge is served with the meal, and it adds a wonderful touch when squeezed over both the fries and the fish. Plus, they offer a fairly extensive menu with plenty of non-fish options for those who prefer land-based dishes. The shop was recently renovated and looks quite nice inside, even though the exterior isn’t particularly impressive. Overall, I visit Fran's quite often and plan to keep going back. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Ive heard so much good stuff about their food. Im from newyork and i haven't had such flavorful and amazing fry fish in a long time. Their mango smoothie with the boba hit the spot! Highly recommend this place!

I was looking for a great burger and I heard Fran's was it. I've had the fish and chips many times so I thought I'd give it a whirl as I was looking for something fresh, homemade and not fast food or anything restaurant like. I was not disappointed.Added fries and breaded mushrooms and I was in heaven. Locally sourced beef, handmade patties, perfect build.Did I mention the service? Fran is delightful and professional. The atmosphere is mellow and calm. Can't ask for a better experience.

The best fish and chips in town! I've been coming here for more than ten years and absolutely love it. The only thing that could make it feel more authentically British is if it were served wrapped in newspaper.

Omg the SIZE of the Club sandwich! And so good. And can 't argue with chip truck fries neither!
