Buckhorn Main Mountain Eatery

I was pleasantly surprised! We had visited this restaurant a few times before and left feeling disappointed, but we decided to give it another chance. I'm not sure what changes have been made in the kitchen, but we had an absolutely wonderful meal tonight. Everything was fresh and perfectly spiced. The service was prompt and exceptional. I will definitely return and would even recommend this place to others. Great job!

Candice (I hope I spelled your name correctly) welcomed us at the front desk and helped us choose our seating. She took wonderful care of us throughout the evening, and I must say her service was exceptional—she truly is a gem. During our meal, we enjoyed $5 glasses of wine and beer. We shared an assortment of dishes including goat cheese dip, calamari, chicken wings, prawns, and bruschetta. For dessert, we indulged in a delicious berry crisp with ice cream. Everything we had was delectable; we would savor a couple of dishes before ordering more, making for a wonderfully relaxed evening. We leisurely spent over two hours dining and truly enjoyed the experience. Candice frequently checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Overall, the meal was very reasonably priced, and we felt it offered excellent value for the money. I highly recommend Buckhorn and Main—it exceeded our expectations!

The food is a good mix for golf club bar/restaurant scene. We ordered a meat plate (good, but the pork belly was tough, the bacon super greasy), a full rack of ribs (very good) and poutine (because Canada, but it was mushier than most and less flavorful). My biggest issue was the SUPER slow service. There was one other couple in the bar and we had to keep coming up to the bar for silverware, water, another glass of wine, just to get the check... and we were patient. It was just damn slow.

I ordered the food via the phone for friends who are staying on the mountain. Candace helped me work out how I could buy the food for them using a gift certificate from the resort and was very patient. The friends were so happy with their food and they said it was delicious.

Prime rib was not acceptable-could barely cut it due to it being so tough. Only could chew a couple of pieces-disgusting. Will not recommend!
