Rudy's Bbq - Killeen

Love Rudy's breakfast tacos! We've been here before a while back and forgot that breakfast stops at 10AM. Came back today for breakfast tacos and made it just in time. Prices differ based on how many toppings you add. Choose from chorizo, brisket, bacon, sausage, potatoes and lots of other choices. My favorite is brisket, egg and potato. You can even get a breakfast bowl with added toppings. Rudy's may be known for their BBQ, but the breakfast options are on point too! Not every location offers breakfast, but this location does. Just be sure to get there before 10AM

Pretty dang great for quality and quantity and price. Rudy's is on the cheaper side but that doesn't mean that the food quality lacks. The marbled brisket and sausages are my top picks. So tender and juicy. Slap in some Rudy sauce and you're good to go. Service is quick and easy. They have a condiment bar free to fill up on: pickles, peppers and such. Lots of seating so great for families and large groups.

Being out and about on our Texas road trip, we've come across several locations of Rudy's. Never thought much of it until the family in Killeen had stories about it. That has driven our curiosity. Went up to the counter and ordered the brisket moist. Immediately afterwards a returning customer beside me was telling us how great it was. According to her she liked the moist the best. LOL. I was like that's a great sign. We added a side of cream corn, potato salad, and pecan pie. The brisket didn't last very long. We ate it like no tomorrow. Before leaving we ordered their regular brisket to go. It was that good! I never had anything like it back home so I was amazed. I just wanted more. When I visit Killeen again, this is one of my mandatory stops.

We went here looking for good bbq. Keep in mind that we have no idea where to get well known Texas bbq. We recall my cousin took my parents and aunt/uncle to this place. So why not try it. We had no idea what to expect and how to buy. We ordered the Wet Brisket, potato salad and mash potatoes with gravy. After getting our order, we looked for a table and we unrolled enough butcher paper to cover our table. We have no idea how to eat. Some of us used the butcher paper like a plate and some of us ate from the containers the sides came in. I have to say the flavor of the wet brisket was absolutely delicious. I couldn't stop dreaming about it after coming home. It's so delicious! I want to go back again soon.

Great food. The sauce is amazing. The manager came around to ask if we needed anything and was very polite.
