Chilangos Seafood - Kenner

Not sure what happened to this place, I used t ou be a regular. Service was never lightning fast, but decent. But a few months ago I walked in and stood by the door for like 15 min without even being glanced at as numerous waitresses passed me....lol, then i just left. Always willing to give a second chance, the other night I waited at the front door about 10 min. That didn't work so I took it further and sat at the bar. How awkward for servers/bartenders to converseamong themselves, even look at me, but not say anything... maybe they thought I was there to just test the seats out!! Never seen anything like it, gotta be this worker shortage thing, maybe just hard to find good folks. This place usedto be money in the bank.

They asked me like 50 times to rate the place, and it got the to point where it was getting annoying and i even forgot my food cause i just wanted to stop asking for it

Excellent food at an amazing price! If you can, visit on Tuesday for live music, an eating contest, and special deals on food and drinks. I just had the steak quesadilla meal, which was only $8.99 for a generous portion, and it was one of the best I've had in a long time!

The food, music, and atmosphere were fantastic. The customer service was decent, but there is definitely room for improvement. The only downside is the small parking lot. Fortunately, you can find parking nearby without risking a $90 boot on your car. LOL!

The food is excellent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. There are plenty of staff members, yet they mostly focus their attention on the men at the bar. I've decided to only place takeout orders after being overlooked repeatedly while dining in.
