Tum Thai - Kenilworth

Such a terrible experience. This is not an authentic Thai food. The waitress was very disastrous to us, as I have just asked for an authentic and very frequent one. Thai meal called Nam Tok. She didn't know what it was, and didn't even want to ask in the kitchen (as I realized, even the Cook was 't Thai). So we ordered pad Thai and chicken Satay (at least it was so bad). After that, I realized that they did not speak Thai. I mean, you don't have to be Thai to cook Thai food, but at least if you have a restaurant, you need to learn to cook real Thai. That was very disappointing. Not recommended, because they are the customers with authentic Thai food. 2/10 is my score for them.

We'll take a few weeks from here. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food is good, but this version of Thai is more American. Everything is a little sweeter than traditional Thai and even spicy dishes are not the spicy.

I've only ever had fantastic food from here. Not sure what the bad reviews are about, but I can definitely say that they are amazingly fried tofu and the Panang Curry is to die for ?. I love it so much!!! I get either the vegan chicken or beef and never disappointed.

What another reviewer mentioned about the mango sticky rice was terrible. I never had bad mango sticky rice, whether the food was great or just OK. I don't think they used sticky rice. It had the texture of regular rice boiled in coconut milk mushy, not sweet and then bland. When I asked, they just said that? The rest of our food was not great, the chicken did not seem like real chicken, and the spicy curry was less sharp than the non spicy soup.

Update 06/2022. Food quality and taste changed. Fried chicken wings not freshly fried (fried in advance and reheated when ordering) do not recommend anymore, smaller shrimp. Food doesn't taste as good as before. Removed 2 star. (2021)Highly recommend fried chicken wings that is a must try, I also love mango chicken, drunken noodles and pad Thai. Shrimp dishes are all very tasty. Great service and very reasonable price.
