Ocean Basket Ort International Airport

While at OR Tambo Airport on our way to Cape Town, we had an hour to spare before boarding, so we decided to grab a bite to eat. Since a sushi bar is always irresistible to us, we decided to give theirs a try. I informed the waiter that we only had 40 minutes, and it was a bit nerve-wracking to sit there sipping sparkling water while wondering if they would be able to serve us in time. Fortunately, they managed to bring out some lovely sushi for our group of five within the timeframe! It was delicious and fresh, making for a great start to our holiday. The service was friendly as well.

Delicious food and excellent service! I was really impressed by how quickly the food arrived. The portion sizes were very generous as well! I've had some disappointing experiences with this franchise in the past, particularly with their prawns, but this time was fantastic! The prawns were large, the mussels were big, and there was plenty of that amazing lemon butter sauce. <br/><br/> #happiness

My partner ordered the fish and chips, which he enjoyed, although I felt the chips were a bit dry and hard. I chose to try some sushi and sampled one of the Mediterranean sushi dishes, which surprisingly turned out to be extremely delicious! I had the Kypro Prawn Roll, along with some classic salmon and crabstick California rolls. I know that many sushi lovers might hesitate to dine at Ocean Basket, but I genuinely enjoyed my meal! The service was excellent; the manager even came over to check if everything was okay. I also appreciated that they were showing a soccer game on TV—everyone was engaged, making it feel like we were all dining together. If I'm at the airport again and craving seafood, I will definitely come back here!
