Blu Saffron Bistro - Kelowna

A nice little winery based restaurant, not many tables but the food is excellent. The wine list is from the winery, so a good chance to really try them out.

We visited here for lunch. The patio is very large but the view is not amazing compared to other winery restaurants we visited in the area. The food was good, we had bruschetta with shrimp and didn’t appreciate that they were served with the tail...on really messy and inconvenient. The waitress was new (understandable) and didn’t know her menu very well and was a little awkward. We had a good time and the food was fine for the price!

After enjoying an excellent tasting of volcanic wines, we booked for dinner at the onside Bistro. The dining room was somewhat subduing, but the food proved excellent. Many of the dishes had an Indian influence. We enjoyed their Blu Saffron burgers with truffleries... $25.50) and Chicken Pappardelle $23). Overall, we enjoyed the meal very much, but found some other local restaurants more atmospheric and better value.

We had a great time to eat here at Blu Saffron. The burger was really good and the terrace is really nice. In any case, hope to be back before the summer ends. The service is also great.
