La Chance Am Meer - Kellenhusen

Good restaurant with super delicious pizza. The pann fish was also very good. Nice service, nice ambience, right on the beach.

Last year 2021, we reserved a table for the evening that said it'd take a while. In the end we waited 3 hours for our pizza! I think that's too long. Generally it seemed very unorganized and “smuddy”. The drinks also tasted as if there were no carbonic acid and the fruits were old. We're not coming back...

Very friendly, friendly staff. And the food is also super delicious

We were only there on a drink later evening, yet nice and accommodating what we had received from other guests was consistently positive. The view over the water and the illuminated sea bridge is also positive to mention. Soon for dinner, it's planned.

Wedding In autumn 2022 we wanted to fulfill our dream and celebrate our wedding in Kellenhusen. The La Chance was our first choice due to the great location with the view of the sea bridge, but unfortunately we had to decide at the end of the short term against a celebration there.Through the third change of staff (first with Mr. Y., then Mr. K. and finally Mrs. G., there were many agreements that were not appropriate. In particular, that the price (partially indirectly by changing the menu has been increased again and again) did not allow us to plan further.At the same time, cooperation was difficult, as Ms. G. did not keep the agreed dates several times and was not reachable at the agreed times. The telephone conversations were only possible in the late evening and were then partially interrupted several times.The point that made us clear that we can no longer entrust our wedding party to La Chance was the indication that we should pay 500€ for each additional hour from 1:00 p.m. On 24.08.2022, Ms. G. called us to tell us that on previous Monday a letter from the municipality was received, in which La Chance was informed that the La Chance could only be celebrated until 1:00 p.m. After we had told Ms. G. that such a short celebration would not come into question for us, the information changed that now would have to be celebrated longer, but only for a high fee from 1:00 p.m. The sum would have to be passed to the municipality on the basis of a special permit. I then called Mr. W. from the competent office and received the information that there would certainly not have been such a letter and that there will certainly not be any payment requirement for a special authorisation. According to Mr. W., there are no such special permits, so this was an incredible lie!We hope that, through our assessment of some bridal couples, this terrible time that has cost us many nerves can be saved.
