While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really detract ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not **** Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service.
Breakfast buffet in Waldorf Astoria Excellent selection Excellent food Very pleasant experience
We had breakfast here this morning when we were at the Waldorf Astoria. The food was exceptional at the buffet with plenty of choice. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and sweet. Today is my husband's birthday. I mentioned it when I made my reservation. Since it is a breakfast restaurant, I just expected that they would wish my husband a happy birthday. They went way beyond that by bringing out a personalized cake with a candle and the words "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the plate. What a reward; what a pleasure! It's a bit pricey, but worth every penny!
Very good selection of food, we had food from the buffet for brunch and there was a selection of fruit, meat and cheese, crepes, pancakes and a waffle station. Very elegant environment. Valet parking / forget your validation!
We inquired with the hotel staff about a Sunday brunch at the hotel since we had a midday flight and wanted a good breakfast before leaving. We were not informed about a brunch, but we did have a delicious breakfast at Oscar's. It turns out they offer an amazing buffet with a variety of options including fresh prosciutto, honey dripping from a beehive, made-to-order omelets and crepes, a plethora of fruits and pastries, and much more. If I find myself in Orlando again, I will definitely be heading back to Oscar's for another fantastic "breakfast" experience.
