Bidra med feedbackGreat food. Service was great! I was happy with the service. The Fajitas were very nice and delicately cooked. I must love it. The best Mexican food I had in a while. Go!
We visited on a Monday night and initially felt a bit concerned as there were only two other customers. The seating could use some updates, but the restaurant was clean. They served both cold and hot salsa with the chips; the cold salsa was good, but the hot salsa was incredible, accompanied by fresh cilantro and onions. For my dinner, I ordered the Enchiladas Blancas with shredded chicken, and they were absolutely delicious—I’ll definitely be returning for more. My son enjoyed his rice (I don't eat Mexican rice) and polished off his plate completely. The staff were all friendly and very nice, and as more patrons arrived, it was clear many were regulars since they didn’t even ask for menus. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and we will certainly come back.
I arrived early for dinner to avoid the Valentine's Day crowds, and I must say, their gumbo is the best I've ever had! It has a rich, deep brown color and tastes like it has been simmering for days. Delicious! They offer creole, file' and regular gumbo, with options for seafood, crabs, or chicken and sausage. Honestly, I can hardly remember what else I had for dinner because the gumbo was just that good!
Fresh chips and salads were a highlight. While the cazadores plate wasn’t shown, the guacamole salad and beef taco were enjoyable, with generous portion sizes. The service was excellent, and since it wasn't too busy at the time, it made for a pleasant spot to enjoy a nice meal. The prices were reasonable, with an average of around $12 for hot plates. The food was still well-prepared, though it may not be the most authentic Mexican cuisine I’ve encountered. However, I have no regrets about visiting. I'm not sure if this is the same place that used to be located at 290 and 34th, but if it is, the enchilada trio to-go is a great option. They also offer beers.
