Atami Steak Sushi - Katy

It's benihana but not over priced and packed at all times. Literally the same quality you get at benihana but it's like $10 less per person. Drinks are cheaper. Overall, if you want the hibachi experience, good food but not upcharged because of the name, this is the place to go.

Perfect spot for low price hibachi. Be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes even if the place is empty. The front end staff are inexperienced and mostly do not speak English, so they may not even know you 're there. Bar is tended by grandma and you get to play, what will they bring me?! with every order. The hibachi chefs are what make a great distraction from the lack of clean anything, the cheap dishware, bad salad, canned miso soup, and substituted rice for the traditional shrimp toss. I recommend showing up pregame drunk for a better experience.

I love Atami Sushi! I’ve been coming for a while now, around 10+ visits or so and the quality has been substantially the same, and the sushi is top-tier for the price point and the service is always pretty much amazing! The staff is normally welcoming, especially Kenny. If you’re reading this Kenny, thank you!

The waitress was wonderful. The chef was not happy to be there. He really did nothing special at all. I was so disappointed since it was my granddaughters first hibachi. Chef needs to find a job he doesn't hate.

They have amazing customer service! The food is absolutely fantastic! Ask for Mr. Saul, he does an amazing job ! Best entertainment ever!!!
