Bidra med feedbackThey have two filials very close to each other that with the green logo is completely vegan, I had the kapatofu amazing!
Just like their restaurants in Heidelberg, this is a great place for falafel in a wrap or falafel plates. The plates cost about twice as much, but it's nice for a treat every now and then Updated from previous review on 2019-11-04
I stopped by at Habibi´s after eating dinner elsewhere so I only tried one of their sweets, baclava. It tasted really good and not overly sweet as many oriental sweets do. The staff were very friendly. My following review refers to THEIR SECOND BRANCH at KAISERSTRASSE 59: They now have a second branch just a few houses further, at Kaiserstrasse 59 with outdoor seating in a nice inner courtyard. Unfortunately, they changed their mind and didn´t make the eatery all vegan. The numerous vegan and vegetarian options are all listed together on a green menu so you have to ask for the vegan options among them, which is unnecessarily time consuming. I had the vegan tofu plate you can choose between rice or chips (French fries), which they confusingly call potatoes (Kartoffeln). It took me some time to enquire about their vegan options and the man at the counter wasn´t too patient with me. The plate itself was rather big, only cost €7.50 and offered a lot of variety. I could have done with a bit more sauce or hummus, especially for the rather dry tofu bits. For dessert I had an enormous energy ball with dates and pistachos, the consistency of which I found overmixed. I much preferred the huge energy ball with dates and rolled oats. Energy balls only cost 1€. Updated from previous review on 2019 09 29
Great portion, very tasty and very cheap. I will look over again.
I had a vegan mixed plate, which was way fuller than expexted. I could try a bit of all they have and all of it was pretty tasty. Afterwards i had a sweet ball, i think it is called baklava. It was also pretty good. It was big and just the right amount of sweet.
