ALEX - Karlsruhe

The restaurant is located on the back of the Europaplatz and so directly in the city of Karlsruhe near everything. The terrace is beautiful. Although not all tables were occupied, the service was somewhat slow...

It is a good, pleasant restaurant with lots of fun. Not really excellent, but the drink and the food is very good

After an exhausting couple of hours of shopping in the gallery, we made a stop at Alex to grab something to eat! Well, the old fashioned bacon burger was excellent and the mohito also!!! Service was super good also!!!

I've been a couple of times for brunch, and although the service was never too good, last time it's been too much. The terrace was middle full and though, it took more than 20 minutes for the waiter to ask for our drinks. After 20...minutes we asked again for the drinks because they hadn't arrived yet. As we had already eaten most of the food, we asked for a smaller size on our drinks and one of my friends cancelled his. The waiter brought what we thought were the small drinks, and an extra capucinno that my friend cancelled. Another friend decided to drink it as it was already on the table. Time to leave and no waiter shows around for 15 minutes. Finally we asked some waiter for the bill and it took them 15 minutes more to come over. By this time we were alone in the terrace, so they cannot say that they were too busy. When he finally brings the bill, he charges us the big drinks, saying that they were in the system already and he could do nothing!! To sum up, I will never come back and I recommend you don't go either, definitely there are better places in Karlsruhe, and much cheaper!!!

Good central spot, not enough room for all guest, we got a table in the middle of the aisle. We had a reservation. Service ok. Good buffet, friendly staff.
