Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Kapolei

I was eager to try this BBQ place for some authentic flavors, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The baked potato with brisket was tasty, as was the mac and cheese, but the ribs were overly salty and dried out — it seemed like there was more bone than meat. The customer service was unfortunately lacking, especially for first-time visitors like myself. I noticed another patron also had questions but received unhelpful answers and ultimately left without ordering. When I returned home, I realized I hadn't received my drink with the combo plate, and when I went to call and inquire, I found I had no receipt to reference! Overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning. Plus, I couldn’t help but notice in other pictures that I might have missed my bread, pickles, and onions too?!

I was in the mood for some BBQ and noticed this place with signs promoting their offerings and beer selection. I decided to check it out and placed my order, but when I asked for a beer, I found out they couldn't sell it because the staff weren't of legal age. If they can’t serve beer, I’m definitely not interested in trying their BBQ. Food: 1/5.

I want to begin by saying that the staff was fantastic! They were really friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food was somewhat disappointing. They were out of four different items we attempted to order, and the brisket turned out to be dry. On a positive note, the rest of the dishes we had were quite good. I would be willing to return and give it another shot on a day when they have a fuller menu. Overall, I’d rate the food a 3 out of 5.

My husband and I went into the restaurant to ask about catering services.They were very patient with us and gave great customer service. They answered all our questions.We ordered a 2 meat combo to try some of the food choices for the catering service. They gave us some samples of side menu to try along with the meal we ordered, so we could make better informed decisions for our catering selection. Good food and great customer service from Makayla and Shaynalynn.We will come back for sure!!

We were visiting from DFW area of Texas when we saw a Dickey's BBQ. Glad to find some Texas BBQ here in Oahu Met the owners and gave them 2 thumbs up on Texas flavor. Only need to learn to make sweet Texas tea LOL. Thanks for the great food. Very busy while there, I think Hawaiians like it too.
