Mad Jacks on Troost - Kansas City

My favorite place for fried fish!! Their catfish is my favorite. Mac n cheese is ok; I would suggest their Cole slaw. You can call in an order and go through a drive through to pick up, very convenient.

Great food and value. After reading many reviews, I had to try it out. It lived up to the recommendation. We had the fried catfish filets, walleye and butterfly shrimp. The shrimp were perfect big and cooked right. The catfish was my favorite, but I've always loved it. The walleye wasn't great, but not bad either a little greasy. We didn't get sides because I had read that they aren't that tasty. My husband went to pick it up; he waited about 10 mins., but they cook to order, so I can live with that. It was still super hot when he got home. Oh, and the order came with white bread slices and some sauces, too. We'll definitely return!!

I gave it 4 stars, the tilapia is very delicious! When I want some fish for lunch Mad Jack's is the go to spot, however the place could use a makeover, maybe Gordon Ramsey would be willing to help out ;

The best fried fish and boiled shrimp ever. Don’t forget fried okra and peach cobbler. Love the drive through for easy pickup.

The fish/sides Is always good and fresh... staff is very nice...Brittanie is ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL AND NICE...they make you feel like family...this place is awesome...
