Bidra med feedbackI always order the tamales, and they are amazing! I really love the light green creamy sauce that comes with them. Does anyone know what this sauce is similar to? Is it an avocado sauce? Whatever it is, I absolutely adore it! Food: 5/5
In my opinion, there's no better spot for Mexican cuisine in all of Kansas City, particularly when it comes to quesadillas and tacos. They offer an extensive selection of meat options, and I’ve tried them all. I appreciate that they only serve soft tacos. The sauces available are outstanding, with the spicy one delivering just the right amount of heat. The meats are incredibly flavorful, with my favorites being the hog mogs and beef tongue; the other options are good but fairly typical. The prices are very reasonable, and as a student, I feel great about spending my money here.
This is a fantastic place for a quick and budget-friendly meal. I'm especially a fan of the burrito pastor. Just a tip: they don’t offer sour cream; instead, they use mayo, which may sound strange but actually pairs well with the burrito, lettuce, and tomatoes. The fresh salsa bar is well stocked, and if you prefer milder flavors, I suggest trying the pico de gallo or tomato salsa. The other salsas are definitely for those who love a bit of heat!
Love the Chile rellenos. The food is always excellent, and it's great fun to pick up a few groceries after grabbing lunch. Great place to purchase homemade tortillas! Always one of must stop places when I come to KCK.Vegetarian options: Many different vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families dine here.
Overall this place is very very good. The selection of proteins is great, though the chicken was a bit dry for me, their lengua, barbacoa, and carnitas were excellent. The chips that they make are genuinely some of the best tortilla chips i’ve ever had.Food: 4/5
