Brasserie Bar & Cafe - Kansas City

After a long active day I hoped for a more relaxed evening meal. that's not what they get. it is a loud bar with a limited menu. I ordered the grilled cheese with tomatenbisque and the suppe was not hot and the cheese on the sandwich was not melted. it is as if the cook has hardly taken the time to cook it properly.

I had here in the last week 3 business dinners and the service was excellent. the waiter was attentive to our needs without interrupting or going over board. eating was surprisingly good for a hotel lobby restaurant. would definitely recommend again. the only disadvantage is that the sitting area is a little small when the hotel lobby is very active in the morning.

Eating was very good. the service was slow, but that was acceptable because it was Valentine's Day. the problem came when our server brought the bill. it was not revealed and it was more than I expected. I asked the server for the posted bill and suddenly the bill was reduced by $41.00 it seemed that she thought only to include her tipp without our knowing. she came back and apologized that we could pay the lower bill. I would have tipped her more if she had just given the original bill. they betrayed themselves from an additional 5% I understand that are busy and are demanding to wait staff, try to ensure their top without this being the front, especially for a table of four, is theft.

I was impress on how accommodating they were with our needs. Food was excellent

Food was OK. Not exceptional. Prices were higher than value. Probably wouldn’t go again by choice
