Bidra med feedbackA charming wine bar located in the South Park neighborhood. The decor and seating are both fantastic, with cozy couches and chairs in the corner as well as bar seating. The bartender was extremely friendly. We visited on a quiet Saturday late afternoon, with good music playing in the background, creating a relaxing atmosphere. We sampled a few wines before selecting a delicious red bottle. I appreciated being able to try before purchasing. I would highly recommend this spot for a lovely evening out, a romantic date night, or a gathering with friends over wine. They also have small plates available, although I did not have the chance to try them yet.
I saw the good reviews on here and wanted to call to host a little bachelorette party. I called and there was a vm asking to call J. Sam himself. I called and he set me up for a reservation in the lounge area. He was super friendly. When we got there, the whole atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. There was a musician playing there and it was nice to hear. It wasn't too loud or crazy. The server was super sweet and gave great suggestions. They also have mixed drinks too. J. Sam actually came to our area and thanked us for coming. He knew what we were there for and gave us some marriage advice. It was really kind of him to do that. He was a friendly guy. Not only is he the owner, but he was also helping around which is honestly something you don't see quite often. This is a local business. The staff is friendly and everything was perfect. It's very obvious their priority is customer service and it shows!! I can't wait to go back. It was a great night!!
After dinner drinks are a must at this conveniently located spot in the Piedmont Row area, known for its fine dining options. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, more inviting than the staff. It operates on open seating, so don't expect to be greeted right away. Despite arriving without being too late, we were told the kitchen was closed and we couldn't order any treats to go with our drinks. However, I did have a fantastic glass of Pinot Noir! Our friends also enjoyed their mixed drinks. We plan to return when the weather allows to take advantage of the outdoor seating.
My fiancé and I made reservations at a nearby restaurant before heading out with friends and family on New Year's Eve 2016, but the restaurant was not actually open all night like they said. We ended up celebrating at J.Sams instead and had no regrets! The service was excellent, with everyone being accommodating and friendly. The food was perfect - I tried the Pimento Cheese, two glasses of Chardonnay, Pork Belly Tacos, and Pulled Pork Sliders, and everything was amazing despite the small kitchen. The restaurant also had beautiful artwork on the walls. I will definitely be visiting more often! There was a cozy fire pit out front with seating, which was a lovely touch. The wine selection was great, and I especially recommend the Ventana Chardonnay. Thank you to everyone at J.Sams for a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration!
Came here for an after dinner drink. they have a few seats outside with a fire pit which looked nice to have a drink outside gaze into the night. Had family from up north who thought it was to hot to sit outside so didn 't get to enjoy the seating area. We sat at the bar which isn 't very big. They had 2 TV 's on which was fine is you wanted to watch something on the TV. They had a good amount of bottled wine to select from. I thought they would have more by the glass to choose from for being a wine bar. They did have a full bar to choose from and surprising had a good whiskey list to choose from. I thought the pricing was a little on the high side as our bill came to $50 for 4 people.
