Joey's Urban - Kanata

I went to this restaurant with friends for dinner and had a terrible and expensive experience. I ordered the Peri Peri Rice Bowl and was disappointed to find that the rice was old and had hard pieces in it. The food was overly spicy and lacked flavor, giving me some digestive issues. Although it is a self-service fast food restaurant where you clean your own trays, they still expect a tip at the counter.

This place has the most delicious fish and chips and tacos!! I have tested everything on the menu and the flavors with which they came up are incredible!!! It's addictive!

I have been going to this restaurant for a few years now. It appears that there are no owners present. The service was not very friendly and they kept forgetting our order, despite me repeating it three times. None of the staff were wearing gloves. I noticed one of the workers did not wash her hands after taking out the trash. The French fries seemed to have been reheated from the day before. The portion sizes were smaller than what I am used to.

I have been to this restaurant in 2022 about 100 times because of their amazing food. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I recommend trying the Mango Shrimp Taco and Buffalo Chicken Taco, which are my personal favorites. The staff is great and they offer a variety of poutines, with my top pick being the Perogy Poutine. I highly recommend giving it a try.

I have ordered online for pick up a few times. No complaints. Great food and decent prices. Tonite i ordered for delivery. They were 15mins early delivering. They forgot an order of poutine. When i called the store to tell them, i was asked so,...what do you want me to do about it? They ended up delivering another poutine, but the mini size vice the regular size i ordered and paid for. I will reconsider before placing an order here again.
