Alright folks, gather ‘round, hit up Mulberry Street Pizzeria on Ventura Boulevard for today’s review. We’re talking classic L.A. pie here. I grabbed a pepperoni slice and a whole cheese pie, because why not? So, let’s set the scene: Mulberry Street Pizzeria. Sounds fancy, right? But don’t let the name fool ya, it’s a real deal pizza joint. Walking in, I was half-expecting some celebrity to be munching on a slice – you know, it’s L.A., baby. But no, just regular folks getting their pizza fix. First up, the pepperoni slice. I take that bad boy up, and it’s got that perfect amount of flop, you know? Like it’s saying, “Hey, I’m here to party.” And the pepperoni, oh man, it’s like a bunch of little spicy frisbees. First bite, it’s like my taste buds just hit the jackpot in Vegas. The crust is thin but not too thin, crispy but not a cracker, it’s walking that tightrope like a circus performer. Now, onto the whole cheese pie. This thing is glistening in the sun, looking like a pizza-shaped discoball. The cheese is spread out evenly, no bald spots here. I go in for the first slice, and it’s just… wow. The sauce is tangy, the cheese is balanced, and the crust is just the right amount of chewy. It’s like a pizza hug. And here’s the kicker – the whole place smells like a New York pizzeria. If you close your eyes, you can almost hear the distant rumble of a subway train. It’s like they’ve bottled up the essence of the East Coast and shipped it straight to the West. Alright, so let’s wrap this up. Mulberry Street Pizzeria, 15136 Ventura Boulevard, you’re getting a solid 8.7 from me. That’s right, 8.7. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and grab a slice. That's a review.
I never tried New York pizza but I been to many pizza spots that claim they serve that NY pie, this one is the best in the valley. Their Buffalo chicken pie is superb... The reason I gave 4 star is because I got a pepperoni which is the most popular choice anywhere, and it wasn't that good. However, it was a slice from the heat section so of course it's not fully fresh. But the Buffalo one I did order and if that was amazing I'm sure all their pies are up to par. Definetely worth the cost but good luck with parking
Best pizza in LA!! I'm from Chicago, and that's saying a lot, lol...
Great place to grab a slice of pizza. Staff is very welcoming.
