Hyatt House La University Medical Center

I stayed at the Hyatt House last night because my best friend is in a coma at LA County General Hospital. The concierge, Carlos, was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. The room was spacious and comfortably accommodated all four of us. When the bar opened at 5 pm, Kevin provided excellent service. He made me a fernet milkshake on the house (great if you like fernet, it tasted like a boozy shamrock shake) and chocolate shake shots for us. Kevin also shared jokes and lifted our spirits. Overall, the entire staff was incredibly friendly and personable. I felt safe alone at night and the park across the street was lovely. The breakfast had a good variety to suit all of our tastes. The Hyatt House was a comfortable and safe haven during this difficult time for my friends and me. I highly recommend staying here if you have a loved one in the hospital or if you're visiting your student at USC.
