Bidra med feedbackVisited for the first time today after a friend hyped up the place. It’s a very unassuming, tucked in the wall stop but the food is fantastic. Small menu, plus the special of the day. Had an original smash single burger and a side of fries. You can get either option as a single or double patty. Very limited indoor seating (4 seats) so plan to bring a jacket to sit outside.
Exceeded all my expectations. Made me forget how upset I was about the 30min wait.
PLEASE BRING BACK THE SPECIAL SAUCE!!!! One of the best burgers under $20 in LA and the sauce with fries was fire. but they discontinued the sauce for some reason
Felt like it was overpriced for the size of the food that we actually got… the employees seemed like were in a bad mood when taking our order. other than that, the taste of the burgers wasn’t bad at all. it was really good.
Walking by hungry. Saw a line out the door, always a good sign, and appreciated the clever play on words in the joint’s name. So I decided to give it a try. Jumped in line and while waiting got some suggestions from regulars (double or single; Smash vs Oklahoma burger). Ordered a double Smash, fries, and an agua Fresca. $28!!! Paper-thin (smashed) burger fries and a drink. Basically a pop up setting with only 1 or 2 inside seats. Burger was tasty. But in no way — not even by LA standards — was it worth 28 bucks!! Plenty of better, more reasonably-priced options around. Finally, and I know this is fairly common in LA, offering a “doggy meal” for $7 while a few feet away fellow humans rummage through a trash can looking for something to eat feels a little tone deaf to me. I love dogs too but c’mon LA, read the room!! Maybe instead invite patrons to donate $7 to treat a homeless person to a burger. More virtuous while not poisoning dogs with fast food. A win-win?!
