Murchison House Station - KALBARRI

This is an incredible place, incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We set up camp right by the river, just upstream from the homestead in an area known as Horse Flats West. It’s a stunning spot that’s mostly flat, with grassy areas and plenty of ghost gums providing shade. The access road was rocky, and there was a steep downhill entry to reach the flats. Exiting could have been challenging, but we discovered that taking the Frypan Track offered a much easier way out. You can find information about these areas and more when you make your booking. The staff at the Homestead were very informative and helpful upon our arrival. We will definitely return to explore more of the station.

Affordable rates, excellent hot showers, and a kitchen conveniently located just a short hike from the camping area for toilet facilities.

This restaurant is owned by the Nizam of Hyderabad. It's a fantastic place to check out!
