Sycamore Group - Kadesh

The portions are generously sized, making sharing an option. I tried the Shrimp and Grits, which were decent. It's not overly fancy, but it's definitely an upgrade from a typical hotel continental breakfast. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

I was surprised by how busy it was on a Sunday morning. The menu offered good options at reasonable prices, and the service was quick. I did find the portions a bit small, especially for American dining. However, the food was tasty. Thank you, Team Cahawba!

Recommended by all the tour brochures and websites, we were a bit disappointed. After placing our order at the counter, we sat down to wait for our food to be delivered. The meal was decent overall, and the servers were friendly; our food arrived reasonably quickly. However, the chicken seemed to have been sitting out for a few hours, the grits were overly salty, and the fried green tomatoes had a soggy batter. On the bright side, the hush puppies were quite tasty. Usually, TripAdvisor leads us to at least a good choice or a finalist, but this place didn't quite live up to expectations. Perhaps we just chose the wrong day to visit?

Levi and Daniel was a joy. The cook Maria was a sweetheart. Atmosphere awesome. Food great and no long wait.

The service was great and the food fresh and delicious. This was a return visit; we plan to make regular visits.
