Bidra med feedbackWe had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The fish and chips were delicious, and the service was fast and efficient. The fish was perfectly crispy and not greasy, and the chips were also crispy and cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning.
This restaurant used to be known for its fresh fish and chips with the right tartar sauce and lemon wedge, as well as beautiful salads. However, there are new owners now and the serving sizes have decreased. The fish no longer tastes fresh, especially the Snapper which is hard and dense, lacking the flakiness and succulence expected. The tartar sauce has also changed to a less desirable consistency. This opinion is based on two separate visits several months apart, leading us to believe we will not be returning. Additionally, the prices have gone up significantly, making it difficult to justify the cost given the decline in quality.
Amazing fish, servings not very big though. Great chips and quid rings also. We ate here twice. Kids meals great value.
When this close to where the fish comes from, why is the fish so expensive and serving so small ? Chips were nice and priced well with $6 enough for whole family. Would go back again, just avoid the fish
I mean, I honestly can’t remember the last time I spent over $60 on a family fish chips from anywhere….probably because it’s never happened. And if it did…I would have gotten the works, dim sums, pineapple fritters included. Their board didn’t state what fish...the family meal came with (my bad I presumed snapper) given that whiting snapper were the same price I didn’t think there would be an extra charge. I paid an extra $8 for whiting which to be honest felt like the girl serving me could have mentioned the additional cost because I really was not that bothered about changing the fish- just more or less thought it was a choice so, had I of known I would have said don’t bother. I’ve also worked over 10 years in hospitality this is something I have always been taught myself to do in multiple venues across the country. In saying that, $60 for something we all loved enjoyed I wouldn’t have really cared however the chips….were honestly not even average at best (hard, but soggy….not at all crispy or fluffy) the fish (whilst nice- really good batter coating) was soo oily when we opened it, it was pretty much sitting in an oil pool. For that price/experience, next time we know to just eat out at a restaurant instead. Trying to find a positive….the man who I presume is the owner/manager seemed very friendly interactive with customers.
