Only a few places were this seasonal open Tuesday so without walking far we had little choice. that was our end of vacation. the waiter looked familiar, in which he had served our beer in caffe above the place...before evening. I don't eat meat so my choices were limited to fish, the veggie option is anathema in france. I chose the set menu with “poisson du marche” served with rice and vegetables. the starter was in order, but when the main course arrived, I was a little taken back: surely they don't sell minnow at the local fish market? so I wasn't surpassed that I first failed to mark that it was served with chips and salat. When I was complaining to the waiter, he offered me some tears. I took that as a tad after the event. the sauce served with the small cold dry fish was very nice and would have worked well with the absent rice. dessert was panne cotta with red fruits: aka marmelade. the starter of my manne, moule and profiterole were all good. we had no excuse for the wrong meal. If my French were better, I might have argued about the bill, but we did not have it at all.
I ate here on a Saturday evening around 20:00 on 9th June. Walking around the town the majority of restraints did not appear to be full. I did find that seceral of the interior tables had been reserved but there was plenty of space outside....It had rained during the day but from 16:00 onwards it was warm and sunny. I had the daily menu for 18,90. Typical French cooking decent flavours, cooked and served OK. If you want Michelin stars stay in London!
