The Phoenix Tavern - Johnstown

I found this tavern based on Google reviews while traveling through the area. Glad we stopped. My husband loves the chicken balls at Thunder in the Valley but we didn't realize that this is the restaurant that makes them. I had a bunless loaded bacon double cheeseburger very good. They had a good selection of entrees and sandwiches. The servers were very friendly and kept our iced tea glasses filled and the prices were good. We'll definitely return.

Wonderful experience. The food was delicious. My wife and I got both pizza and the homemade sauce was great ( regular red sauce and white pizza). The service was very good. The atmosphere was pleasant. It is obvious that the owners take care of their customers and the quality of food. We're coming back!

Food and service in Phoenix are always tops. Get a triple egg. The best sandwich in Johnstown!

We talked to the owner on a slow day. A nice guy with an obvious pride on his business. If it stops in the Christmas season for a hot chocolate with a shot of one of many liqueurs. My tasted like a Peppermint Patty and my wife with Chambord was great.

Great food, solid drinks with a friendly team. Miguel in the kitchen made our food extra pleasant. Great place to meet with friends and family. #thewildbunch
