Bidra med feedbackThis is, without a doubt, my favorite food cart in the city. My only regret is that I don't get to eat here often enough (it's a bit out of my route). The portions are very generous, and the taste is impeccable. I am spoiled by those French fries soaking the flavor from the chunks of lamb in the gyro. By all means: visit this place and get a gyro. It will never fail to brighten your day.
Every dish we experienced at Mawj Babylon Cosini was a delightful explosion of flavors. The falafel, perfectly crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside. Served alongside a tangy tahini sauce, it was a divine combination that left us craving for more. The service was pristine and had a great ambience. I highly recommend this place!
I was looking for a treat while I was out and this was a good stop!
I ordered the lamb gyro and for $4, it was a decent meal since I was hungry. The lamb had some flavor to it, but the gyro overall was pretty average. I liked the price, that's why I wanted to try it. It's still good, but if you're looking for something else with more flavor to it then you can probably try a different food cart in the area! I haven't tried the other foods here, but I have a feeling that it just tastes similar to the gyro, just with different meats. I had some kind of spicy sauce added to my gyro as well, but I didn't taste any spice at all.The man cashiering and preparing the food was clean though! After handing me back my card, he gave me some hand sanitizer. If I'm in the mood for gyro again, I would try out the different food carts in the area, but if you're on a budget, $4 is not too bad for this lamb gyro.
I love food carts. I read the reviews in this place, took a trip downtown to enjoy, and threw away half my lunch. The baba and hummus were both disgusting. I had my friend and son try for other opinions, and they thought those two items were awful as well. The pita was good, as was the falafel (hence the star), but we won’t go to this place again.
