Bidra med feedbackWe had a late dinner at the Reserve. Wait staff was very attentive. Food was very good. We loved that you could order half-size portions. Chicken was excellent. Caesar salad was very tasty. The eggplant napoleon was unusual with lots of seafood and an incredible saffron broth. Peach trifle was tasty! And nice wines. Only complaint was that there was no crostini or other bread for the saffron broth. Maybe because we were dining so late? But kitchen should have had some bread choices.
Our Thanksgiving dinner at The Reserve Steak House was exceptional. The ambiance was festive and welcoming, setting the stage for a memorable evening. The staff's warm and efficient service added to the delightful experience. The food was the highlight, with a perfect blend of traditional Thanksgiving dishes and the steakhouse's signature offerings. The turkey was succulent, and the sides were flavorful, complementing each other beautifully. The steaks, a specialty of the house, were cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and tender. The meal concluded with delicious desserts. It was not just a dinner, but a truly festive experience. The Reserve Steak House made our Thanksgiving special, and we highly recommend it for an exceptional dining experience.
This was our second experience with dinner at the Reserve. We both ordered soup and both were served lukewarm and sent them back for heating. My she-crab soup didn't actually taste like lump crab meat so fairly bland. Our dinners came with lukewarm vegetables/potatoes yet at least my ribeye was warm and tasty. It appeared that temperature control of the complete plated dishes was a problem. Can't say we'll be trying the Reserve a third time. We really enjoyed our server and she was quite attentive. Too bad her kitchen let her down.
Food was good and our server was very attentive, even though they were short staffed and very busy. The kids do not recommend the kids quesadillas, and the $17 wedge was surprisingly small, but the scampi was delicious as were the shrimp app and truffle fries!
After poor dining experience for my wife's 80th birthday at our oceanfront hotel next door the night before, we tried The Reserve. Fantastic! Our server Kaylon, I think is correct, was a pro, with a personality. Menu with ample excellent choices. Everything served at the appropriate moment, hot and perfectly prepared. Oysters Rockefeller, Crab cakes, bacon-wrapped sea scallops, redfish, traditional caesar salad, key lime pie, each delicious.Our third trip to Jekyll Island, will return st least twice each year, Lord willing, and we will make The Reserve our first dining choice as long as they keep to this same standard.
