Bidra med feedbackThis restaurant may be in a gas station, but it has terrific Southern cooking. When I don't feel like cooking, I finally have a restaurant to go to. It tastes just like it came out of my own kitchen. The grits are amazing. They are truly Southern grits.
Apparently there is more than one Front Porch Cafe! We stopped here thinking they had Chicken and Waffles. Unfortunately they did not and it's the other Front Porch Cafe that has that item on their menu. Instead we had the catfish sandwich and the chicken fried steak. Food was good and flavorful. Had a pancake on the side that was good with syrup. Pricing was good too. It's a small dining room that's quaint. Would eat here again to try a different menu item.
On the drive to FL, we saw the sign on the billboard Gator and taters . I know we had to stop!! OMG it was the BEST breakfast I 've ever had!!! I wish it was closer to home. I would go every day! Staff was very happy and welcoming as well. Loved it!
Great little diner, hidden in the Busy Bee plaza. Hubby had a veggie Cuban sandwich, and he said the sauce was delicious, the sandwich not too heavy, just excellent. How funny that in his quest for the perfect Cuban sandwich the meatless one won ?. Good service too. Only downside was the diner was freezing.Kid-friendliness: Waitresses was patient and accommodating.
