The Pier Cantina Sandbar

This restaurant is one of the best places in Jacksonville Beach, with outdoor seating directly across from the pier on the boardwalk. I highly recommend this spot due to its scenic location. We tried the shrimp ceviche and sunrise burrito, both of which were filling. The food was average, as mentioned in other reviews. The service was good, but the bar was crowded on Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is relatively new but could use some maintenance, including broken hooks in the women's restroom and loose fittings in the men's restroom. Despite this, the restaurant has great potential.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday at 3:30pm. The first floor was bustling, but the second floor was only half full. I was surprised that it took 3 minutes to be welcomed, but it wasn't a big deal, just a bit strange. The server was very nice and polite, and made some helpful suggestions. The guacamole was incredibly fresh and delicious. The food came out quickly, presented on a silver platter and looked amazing. The Gringo Rock Steak Taco was fantastic, I'm definitely going to order it every time I come back. The combination of the view, the food, and the reasonable prices made the experience great. Our server, Alex R according to the reception, was excellent. Can't wait to come back!
