The White Horse Inn - Isle of Wight

Went to the White Horse for a late Saturday lunch. Great friendly service, lots of items to choose from both in the normal menu and on the specials board. Food came out and was hot and tasty. We had the seafood chowder and fisherman’s pie from the specials board. Cannot wait to visit again.

Had a great night, live music, wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. Had the surf and turf platter which was sensational and well worth the money. Highly recommended

Always had great food on previous 3 occasions but a little disappointed on our birthday meal. Portion sizes have dropped. Burnt prawn toast starter. Main Cod batter was pale and soggy not crispy. Shame as lovely location. Hoping our next visit will return to how good it was previously.

The ABBA tribute band was very average, certainly not worth the £30 ticket price. The bar prices being increased with no notice when the music started showed little regard to loyal customers. Charged £2.40 for a small lemonade which was quite excessive compared to what I have been charged elsewhere. .

Entertainment ABBA tribute band best described as poor, certainly when paying thirty quid for that being part of the advertised buffet evening. Prices jumping behind the bar during the evening with no prior warning. I would describe the White Horse as a money making machine with l little regard for locals hidden behind welcoming smiles of the management! All without mentioning locals having choice of paying for thirty quid ticket for the above or being locked out of their own local!
