The King Lud - Isle of Wight

This pub is fantastic, with reasonably priced beers and a great atmosphere. The music adds to the vibe, and there's even a dartboard for some extra fun. Definitely recommend checking it out.

My partner adores this pub, but I cannot stand it. The temperature inside is unbearably hot, causing me to sweat as soon as I walk in. The heat is so intense that it practically forces you to purchase a cold drink. It can be dangerous for individuals with existing health conditions. Personally, I really dislike this place.

During our visit to the area, my partner and I stopped by for a quick drink on our way to our accommodation. The staff and patrons were extremely friendly and offered great suggestions on places to visit locally. Shanklin, in particular, was recommended and we found it to be beautiful and easily accessible by bus or train. We returned later that evening to watch a football match and once again experienced the same welcoming atmosphere. Overall, we found the restaurant to offer great value and would highly recommend it to others.

Bargain pub. Great for watching sport whilst waiting for your transport connections.
