Bidra med feedbackSunday lunch was diabolical frozen mixed veg floating in water very little meat roast potatoes looked like little cubes hardly brown no Yorkshire pudding tiny portion.
The worst meal ever !! Service was just as awful as the food ! Sirloin Steak honestly no words can even begin to describe how bad it was. No apologies from the owner. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It’s so bad it’s laughable
Avoid like the plague! Glasses were diry no ice. The tables were dirty and sticky. The food arrive and was of a very basis standard. I think the chef forgot to put tomatoes in the lasagne, very bland with poor quality mince. The hunters chicken was as dry as sand. Never again, we tried to support local businesses but when you pay £50.00 for 3 meals and all you are served is basic cheap cafe style food. Never again!
After hearing it was under new management I thought I’d attempt to visit again. Now I wish I hadn’t botherd. It’s Deffinetly a pub for the locals and not for visitors. As soon as we parkedup we were greeted by awful stares from those smoking right outside the entrance... upon entering the pub we waited a good whole before we were even acknowledged to be rudley told they weren’t serving food. They didn’t even ask if we wanted any drinks instead... customer service wasn’t awful and we felt totally unwanted likewe had walked into a private party. Will Deffinetly not be returning
I was always told to start any report with a positive so here it is: The staff were friendly. They smiled at us and exchanged pleasantries as we entered the pub, chose our table and sat down. Having said that though, our experience of eating here was at best grim ! Four of us went for an evening meal and our first impression as we walked into the place was that it was cold, barren and completely cheerless. It was a chilly evening but there was no heating on nor was the fire lit (It wasn 't even laid the grate was just full of old ashes and litter. However, we decided to give it a whirl thinking that the staff would get the hint and organise some sort of heating if we sat huddled up in our outdoor coats for long enough. Wrong! We were left to shiver! The menu seemed ordinary enough the usual pub grub at prices just slightly above the norm but not extortionate. Anyway we 'd travelled a fair way and were tired so we ordered our meals (1 steak, 2 cod chips 1 surf turf). Yuk! The surf turf was swimming in grease, the steak was 70% grizzle the fish inside the batter was a very strange grey colour. Definitely not a dining experience we 'd ever want to repeat. This is the only pub in the area and must surely enjoy a fair amount of tourist trade. With a bit more effort to brighten (and warm) up the sitting area (and possibly a different chef) it could surely develop a reputation as a great place to eat and drink in that part of Anglesey. Get your act together Holland Arms.
