Sonny’s Pizza - Isla Mujeres

My wife and I visited Sonny's on 12/15/21. It was a nice place to grab a pizza in a place where you don't find a lot of pizza. The meatballs were pretty good but a bit soft for my taste. The balsamic was a nice touch. The jalapeno margarita was tasty, nicely spiced and a bit smokey. We also ordered the lobster pizza which, in my opinion, is very overrated. Aside from the fact that it did not have enough lobster to make it the star of the show, it had too much sauce, WAY too much cheese, and the crust was a bit tough and thick for my taste which made it difficult to get through more than a slice. Sonny is a nice guy. He visited all of the customers that evening while we were there and if I'm ever on the island again I would give the place another try and order some other items.

Wow best pizza I had in a long time of travelling. The bottom and crust is very good and crunchy. Compared to Italian pizza it had a lot more cheese and spices which made it very flavourful. The pizza is so big that you can share one and choose different types which makes it also very inexpensive.
