Bidra med feedbackI absolutely love this place! I'm so glad it's back and even better than before. The new briquettes they use are simply perfect—everything from the service to the freshness was on point. And I can't even begin to express how friendly the staff was; they felt more like friends! As a Texas girl, BBQ is a major food group for me, and this is definitely the spot to enjoy it. I usually work near a place on MacArthur, but I only went there once because the food was cold and just didn’t measure up.
The food was as dry as the paper it was served on. The bands and brisket were particularly disappointing. The fries were underwhelming and overly greasy. Like many places I've visited in the country, this isn't the right fit for me. Food rating: 1/5.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant, thanks to the friendly and welcoming attitude of the staff! The lovely ladies there truly made my visit joyful. I had a frustrating experience at the MacArthur location with the Dickies app, but when I arrived at the Beltline location in Irving, they completely turned my day around. The food was fantastic—incredibly tasty and fresh! I highly recommend this place if you're in Irving, Texas. The staff treats you like family and genuinely cares about your experience. I will definitely be returning for more excellent service! The restaurant was also clean, neat, and inviting. Thank you! M.
Stay away! New management/owners. In an unpleasant atmosphere. I was the only customer at dinner. the flesh person sat in a chair on his phone not disturbed standing up until I was ready to order. I ordered 6 ribs they were dry and cooked over probably because they were not much business. There was absolutely no self-service that the prices were much higher than the Dickeys on MacArthur. They really push on the sale and you can say that they fight. I have cream machine – not even up. No cones. Notta. Here's a Dickeys. Don't come here. Go on MacArthur 2 miles away. They have pimples, bread and onions. You have ice cream, and they are not too busy, take your order.... Oh and it's cheaper.... And the food tastes better and you can get your own sauce. For these reasons, I will never return to this place. It was too Smokey in there. The smoker is located in another room at the MacArthur site. Too bad.
I 'm a BBQ guy, so my expectation is high, especially on a reopened place like this. I really want this place to make it. I revisited Dickey 's on Beltline in Irving after seeing a positive review. Some suggestions to the new owner on the food side. Decide if you 're going to slice or chop the brisket. Halfway in-between isn 't good either way. I suggest you offer both and have the cutter ask which way customers want it*. The taste of the brisket (the only meat I tried) is OK, but it needs more smoke taste and smell. It was tender and lean, that 's a good thing. Serve full size Onion rings not those 'tangler ' things. They tend to burn half the order. On the service side: *Turn down the radio! I know you want to create excitement but if the mild manored cutter can 't hear you, it doesn 't work. The cutter saying Onion rings are available but aren 't on the menu is a bummer. After saying YES on availability, he had to ask the assistant. All employees should know the menu, especially the guy taking the orders. Don 't have the cutter try to up-sale customers. If I only want one vegetable (Onion rings), I should be able to order that. By employing a middle eastern guy you may get an employee (cutter) but it doesn 't get you a guy people can understand. Last, $8.25 seems expensive for just a brisket sandwich only, but time and Supply Demand will tell.. Hope this is constructive. Irving needs BBQ. Good luck.
