Catering By Scott

Sent them a question about a catering request and they never even bothered to respond. At this point I wouldn't trust them for a badly bagged lunch much less a gourmet meal.Avoid at all cost!

We are incredibly grateful to Scott for catering the visitation following my dad’s funeral. Scott was a total class-act and so kind and patient. And the food was off-the-charts outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented so beautifully. Our guests even commented on the wonderful food and stunning display. We are so thankful to have discovered Catering by Scott and highly recommend him. Thank you so very much, Scott.

Two weeks after my wedding and I am still hearing from my guests that this was the best wedding food they have ever had! Scott and team were absolutely incredible, they took care of everything from setting up the napkins at each place setting, flipping my venue from ceremony to reception, clearing plates from tables, refilling waters to cleaning the reception when it was over. The staff wouldn’t even let me lift a box at the end of the day, they carried everything for me out to our cars. They were all so kind and thoughtful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Scott has so much experience in the wedding world, I didn’t need a day of coordinator because he did it all for me. He made sure the flower girls went down the aisle on time, he made sure guests went to the right place for cocktail hour and served up the best food ever, followed by a beautiful and delicious dessert bar, coffee and chocolate covered strawberries. It’s all very impressive what they do and the price honestly can’t be beat!

We had some time in Columbus waiting on family to fly in. Went to “Catering by Scott”. What we found was like being at a lunch in a restaurant with friends and friends of friends. Scott came table to table and talked. Evert was one of the servers. Joked and talked like we had known her for years. The menu of home made meals is amazing. We had a Reuben and a Miamian. If you go to Columbia and don’t take the time to be a part of this experience—you are missing something special.

I had my wedding on 9/10/22 at Irongate Equestrian Center and we used Catering by Scott. We had a very pleasant experience with Scott and the team. We still have people telling us how good the food was. Scott regularly works with Irongate so the day of was very seamless. A few things that really stuck out to me were that every vegetarian/vegan got a very full plate of food and it wasn't just what was on our menu that didn't have meat in it. It was specialized for vegan restrictions. He was also able to accommodate a last-minute vegetarian addition. Also, the staff day of was great and so attentive. They moved food around if people were missing from a table and packed up a bunch for us to take for later. Scott was great to work with. He has been in the business a long time so he has a lot of experience and ideas that you are free to take or not take. I am a pushover so it can be hard to say no in general but when I did I was listened to. We were deciding between a few options for our meal and he assured us that the less expensive option would be delicious so we went with it and weren't disappointed. So he is confident on his menu whether it is more or less expensive and didn't pressure the more expensive one. One thing he recommended and was appreciated was family style. It was somewhat unique for a wedding but I loved it. It saved time and wasn't as expensive as serving individual plates. I felt communication was satisfactory. Calling worked better for me and when a call was missed it was returned within a business day. Scott showed up on the wedding day during the reception which was appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience and looking back, the catering was a positive experience from our day.
