Saloon - Iowa City

Friendly staff. The menu is original and have never had a bad meal there every time we come from Clinton, Ia. The bar is beautiful! Thier queso dip is addicting, and fish tacos and chicken Marsala are so good! Outdoor patio seating available to enjoy the live music in the area.

Great bar and food. It's my favorite hamburger in Iowa City, but they are more known for their southwest menu. Being a native Texan, I really enjoy the old west decor. They also have great outdoor dining. The owner is very friendly and he has a good staff. They even have board/card games you can play!

I love Saloon. The staff is fantastic, food is even better. Nothing is too crazy or out of control. Drinks are responsibly priced. Wait... Too many people may like this it get too busy. It's awful! Don't go! You'll hate it.

We ate outside so I can't say much about the decor. Food was excellent. I tried the Fish Chip Wrap, which sounded really interesting to a Brit. It was very spicy and way different than any fish and chip combo I'd eaten before. Definitely a treat for my taste buds. I'd highly recommend it if you want to try something different!
