Joe's Pizza - Independence

Ordered a large thin crust special tonight after work and it was perfectly done and piping hot when I picked it up. Couldn't ask for a better Pizza fresh ingredients and plenty of cheese. Now if we just had one in Oelwein. Thanks again Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We saw this small local owned business on yelp and decided to give it a try! We decided on the meat lovers without sausage and added pineapple. The crust held up well to the toppings and sauce, and it wasn't too thick or thin! The flavors melded together perfectly! We also shared an ice cream flight which was spoon licking and bowl licking good! The building was small with just a couple of tables. Even though it was small, it was inviting. It's a great place to meet friends and just spend some time catching up. The lady who took our order and served us was friendly, helpful, and patient since we probably changed our minds multiple times trying to decide what to order.

So I have always eaten at the joe's In jesup and it's always good. So last night we tried The independence location worst pizza ever. I had half bacon cheeseburger 1/2 taco. The bacon cheeseburger side was cooked so long the cheese was hard and crusty. The taco pizza cheese was hard and crusty and only had toppings of Doritos and lettuce. I also had a quesadilla that was Brown and crunchy practically burnt. I don't mind crispy but I don't like burnt and The Onion straws which I thought would have been really super crispy were cold and doughty. We were so disappointed because the one in dress up as I said is always good. If it had been one thing I probably wouldn't even allow to review but everything that I ordered was garbage. And I don't usually leave bad reviews ever but I could not let this one Go. Sorry but it was bad the service was great. I will say that the staff is friendly..
