Absolutely phenomenal service and one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Wine was great and a very affordable price! Was there earlier in the day as well for coffee and pastries. Nothing about this place was a disappointment! I highly recommend it to visitors!

Depois de uma longa caminhada até o castelo, fomos e o serviço foi maravilhoso. Delicioso aperitivo que comemos! Provámos o hidromel que estava delicioso e a esplanada com excelentes vistas sobre a cidade. Voltaremos sem hesitação!

Perfect little Monsanto gem to sit and have a latte pastry before climbing up to the castle! Very charming and a welcoming staff! In addition to our bite to eat we purchased a beautiful Monsanto T-shirt as souvenir!

The hosts are friendly and welcoming. Someone complained about innate toon but that wasn’t our experience. I spoke a bit of Portuguese so maybe that helped. We also rented one of their three rooms which I wholeheartedly recommend if you really want to stay in a unique apartment that looks like it was hit by meteors. Huge boulders everywhere. Fantastic views. The highlight of our trip. Breakfast on the terrace was Included with the room and was plentiful and tasty. But the view….the view….it’ll stay with you forever.
