Akash - Hyndburn

I decided to try this restaurant instead of my usual takeout for a change. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. Despite spending nearly £80 on a meal for my whole family, the korma was cold and watery, and looked unappetizing. The hot paneer vegetable curry was supposed to be spicy, but it was actually mild and tasted like the generic vegetable curry sauce served with other dishes - not what I had ordered. It was clear that they thought I wouldn't notice the mistake, and I was very disappointed. I do not plan on giving this place another chance.

Additionally, I noticed that when I placed the same order online, it came to a total of £22.65. However, when I went to collect my order, I was charged nearly £24. This discrepancy was not a major issue for me initially, but coupled with the dismissive attitude I encountered over the phone, I am now really disappointed. Due to this negative experience, I will not be rushing back to Akash in the future.

I have been going to this Indian restaurant for years, but it has drastically declined in quality. The food tastes frozen, not fresh, yet the prices remain the same. I will be looking for a new place to eat.

We have been going to this takeaway for years and it has always been good quality but not tonight. I ordered keema biryani it was awful, just glad it came with a veg curry. I thought the biryani had a fishy smell and the taste was non descriptive, in fact I didn't eat it all

I must say I have been a loyal cust to akash takeaway for years, and only order chicken tikka, onion and curriander chips from there, as kids love it. Today I placed an order for 2 lots costing £10.50, brought them home kids couldn’t eat them as it was more spicier than normal. Never had this prob before, I rang to say the food was way too spicy, young lad who answered asked to hold an was speaking to some one at the back, I explained this wasn’t first time Ive ordered this item so I know what’s it is like, the lad explains again to some one at the back, the man at back rudely sed to the lad “tell her tough that’s how it is made!” Which I heard clearly. How rude and **** customer service, well thanks to akash the food went in the bin losing the £10.50 and costing more to get food else were. One thing is akash have lost a loyal cust an I will not be recommending them to any one else either, this was disgusting behaviour from a local takeaway which we actually support in these hard times disgusted customer!!!!
